Beschreibung

Am 09.06.2021 stellte Olympus eine neue kompakte Systemkamera vor: Die PEN E-P7.

Lt. den bekannten Quellen ist sie (technisch) aus der E-M10 IV abgeleitet worden, folgende (grundlegende) Unterschiede werden genannt:

  • Fehlen des elektronischen Suchers
  • kompakteres Gehäuse
  • eingebautes Blitzgerät vgl. der PEN E-PL10 (herausklappbar)
  • Display vgl. der PEN E-PL10 (nach unten klappbar)
  • Creativ-Dial auf der Vorderseite
  • überwiegende Verwendung von Metall für das Gehäuse

Eine Quelle bezeichnet die Kamera: "Es wurde die Technik einer E-M10 IV (aber ohne Sucher) mit einem abgespecktem Kreativrad (aus der PEN F) und einem Klappdisplay (z.B. aus der PEN E-PL10) in einem neuem Designgehäuse verpackt".

Weiterhin berichten die bekannten Quellen, dass die PEN E-P7 überwiegend für den asiatischen Markt designt wurde - hier werden (im Gegensatz zum europäischen Markt) Kameras ohne elektronischen Sucher bevorzugt. Die Kamera soll nur in geringen Stückzahlen im europäischen Raum vermarktet werden, der überwiegende Teil der Produktion ist für den asiatischen Markt (Zielgruppe) vorgesehen.
